Basket Ball

Kevin Seraphin, the first international player selected in the 2010 NBA draft, has signed with the Washington Wizards. The Wizards acquired him in a draft-day trade with the Chicago Bulls that involved also bringing in Kirk Hinrich in exchange for the  rights to Vladimir Veremeenko of Belarus, a second-round draft pick in 2006
The 6-foot-9 forward from French Guyana was selected with the #17 pick
Serpahin spent the last four years playing for Cholet Basket – the French franchise also had the 20-year old under a new three-year contract, so the Wizards had to negotiate a buyout.
Seraphin signed a four-year deal that guarantees about $2.7 million the first two years, with Washington holding options for the third and fourth years – typical of an NBA rookie contract.
