Break Dancing - Times Square - New York


One of the first vernacular dance styles to adopt the term street dance was the jazz dance, no doubt due to its urban style and sometimes its theme. The term street dance has overrun the formal definition vernacular dance in the last decade. Along with hip hop and funk dance styles, jazz dance is an Afro-American vernacular dance, and has also commercial variations.
