Basket Ball
The Wolves also pick up three players in the move – Darius Songaila, who just finished his third season in Washington. The 31-year old forward from Lithuania received solid minutes off the bench and produced 7.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists for the Wizrads. If the trade goes through, Minnesota will be Darius’ fourth NBA team. The 7-0 Pecherov has played his entire two-year career in Washington, barely playing, and averaging 3.6 points in both years. Etan Thomas was likely to be moved this summer anyways, as he and starting Wizards center Brendan Haywood have clashed several times over this past season.
Washington gains a great shooter in Mike Miller and a developing playmaker in fourth year guard Randy Foye.
Edit: I made the mistake thinking that the Wolves and Wizards were switching selections; they obviously are not. My apologies for any confusion.
