Basket Ball
The moves continue as teams look to trade up/down in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Looks like the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to pick fifth and sixth in this year’s draft. The Washington Wizards are going to send their pick to Minnsota in a five-player deal.
According to some reports, Minnesota is giving up Mike Miller and Randy Foye to the Washington Wizards, in exchange for two international players; Lithuanian forward Darius Songaila and Ukranian center Oleksiy Pecherov, Etan Thomas and the fifth draft pick.
After the dust clears, the Timberwolves will have moved up one spot in Thursday’s draft, picking fifth and sixth. With the move, Minnesota may be hoping to grab Ricky Rubio, if he slips, or a scorer to help tandem with Al Jefferson.
